Today in class we were all assigned to do a presentation on food cultures among countries we were assigned to. I was assigned to do a presentation about America and specificly food culture in North Carolina. The presentation was about a specific familys food on what they eat in a weak. I was assigned to do the Craig family and the Revi family.
Among analysing both families I found a certain difference between there cusine and our Japanese average meals. The main difference with the Revi family and their food culture with mine is the amount of fast food that is consumed in a week. I would not say all but not many of the people in our culture consume fast food for the whole week. ±Another difference is the variation among the food culture. Since Japan does not have thanksgiving, easter and events where we eat a lot of food. North Carolina was influenced by the Scottish and Irish settlers which lead to the heavy use of potatoes.
